Are residential park homes leasehold?
Park homes are neither leasehold or freehold because under the mobile homes act 2013 the land on which they stand remains the sole property of the land owner...If someone has an agreement to live in a park home or lodge as their only or main place of residence on a protected site then they will have the benefit of the rights and protections provided by the 1983 act. This includes a number of important terms which will be written into their agreement. These cover how the agreement can be terminated how the annual ground rent can be charged and the process that has to be followed when you buy sell or gift your home.
